Five computers will allow me to successfully run a small three-group rotation to target my students’ needs. My first small group consist of direct instruction; these student work directly with me learning skills and strategies to access the general education curriculum. My second group will use computers (the ones we need) to access reading programs, one particularly called “Readtheory.” This is a reading program that monitors students reading skills and create individual pacing according to students’ ability. My third group will play reading games created for them to practice their targeted areas of need. With classroom technology, my students will be able to practice typing skills daily, which will allow them to be better prepared for the typing the essay form response questions that are included on our state test, Smarter Balanced Assessment California (SBAC)
