As students read and begin to think about news that is reverent to them, they will begin to develop a deeper understanding and will be able to critically analyze how the events will or possibly could impact them.
Students will be able to summarize the facts they will be reading about and begin to learn why this information is important. Next they will make real world connections to the facts they have learned and then explain the importance of their new knowledge. Finally they will be able to reflect on what they have learned and how their lives will be impacted.
