These books will be used to promote kindness in our school and support social emotional learning and wellness. As a counselor I would much rather work to be proactive and encourage students to spread kindness and treat others with respect than intervene after bad choices are made. Kids love learning and being leaders in our building. Teaching and learning can only take place in a healthy positive environment. Thus my job is to teach students how to interact with other students appropriately and make good decisions. I support students in their quest to learn each day. Children's literature is the best way that I have found to connect with students and "teach" a lesson while enjoying a good story. Thank you for your support of our young people who will hopefully grown to be amazing productive and contributing adults!
