Ferguson-Florissant School District is fortunate to have our own almost 100 acre nature area called, Little Creek. It has trails, a barn, prairie, farm animals, forest, ponds, ropes course, and of course, a little creek. We are piloting a program for our preschoolers to attend school once a week at Little Creek. We are asking for supplies for our explorers to use in inclement weather.
Combining the love of nature and the need for play will provide our students with a unique opportunity to learn in a natural environment. Children will learn using a multi-sensory approach through a variety of STEAM- related activities. Preschoolers are naturally curious and imaginative, and Little Creek is the perfect place for our kids to explore!
The materials we are asking for will ensure each child has the equipment they need to fully participate in the experience. Children will be able to puddle jump and play in the rain, and experience all the joy and wonder of nature. Our preschoolers deserve the opportunity to participate fully in this pilot program. Thank you for your consideration.
