In our Makerspace, students can explore their creativity by building, drawing, and designing with various materials. We're also aligning the lessons with our goals of building Social Emotional strength in our students. As part of the Kindness Rocks projects, students write kind and inspiring messages on rocks. They "paint" the rocks with gel pen messages, as these pens work really well on the surface of rocks. They then distribute the rocks around the community in order to make someone else's day better. They spread the kindness and learn the importance of thinking of ways to help others have a better day.
