Students in our school love Scholastic News. We are able to keep up with current findings and learn so many things we didn't know before about science and social studies.
Text features are a big part of learning in second grade. Scholastic News is the best resource to identify and understand the purpose of text features. Unfortunately, the state of NC has not passed a budget and there is no money to spend on this.
Nonfiction text can be difficult for some readers. Scholastic News brings subjects to life like no other resource we have. By donating to our project you will be enhancing our curriculum and providing students with a resource that will help build their understanding of the world around them. You can help provide students with a tool that will make their learning meaningful and memorable.
