Having snacks on hand in my office will allow me to be able to ofter students snack for the weekend. For many of these children, school meals may be the only meals they eat. What happens when they go home over the weekend? When it's Friday afternoon and everyone else is excited some students are counting down the hours until they come back to school where they can get two meals a day. According to the USDA's 2019 Household Food Insecurity in the United States report, more than 37 million people in the United States struggle with hunger. Having snacks available will help students who might not have a stove or microwave to still be able to eat.
