The school you will be funding is a Visual and Performing Arts K-8 school. Our students are encouraged to explore all forms of visual and performing arts. One such club we created two years ago is the Domestic Arts Club. This club meets one a week at lunchtime for all 5th-8th grade students, boys and girls alike.
We believe that when students are given the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity through this club, their self esteem improves and this same creativity can be used to fuel their academic performance in the general education classroom.
Students will be given the opportunity to learn how to crochet, sew, create hairstyles, and cookie/cupcake decorating. with these supplies.
