These materials will allow my students to explore different artistic mediums in order to express their creativity in classrooms that are shared, without sinks, and were empty at the beginning of the year. Being able to have water in the no spill cups, when there is no sink, will allow for amazing crayon resist watercolor spiderwebs. Tempera cakes will enable the students to explore pointillism painting even though they are working at their desks. Both younger students and those who need added modifications can benefit from the size and shape of the tempera sticks to discover the world of painting different types of lines to make a self portrait on crazy hair day. Even though they may have started out as empty, white boxes, after the students use their imaginations and these supplies, the walls of the classroom will be full of fall trees, pumpkins, robots, flowers, dragons, hawks, and so much more!
