Students will receive an artist's toolkit to create a variety of art and design projects integrated with the mathematics, science and social studies curriculum.
These hands on projects include Geometric String Art, Woven Mat Loom, African Kente Pattern Prints, Straw Weaving Bracelet, Native American Quill Art, Frank Lloyd Wright Stained Glass, Self-Propelled Cardboard Car and more.
Students learn so much more when they create and solve real world problems in project based learning. Hands-on learning is especially critical during distance learning when the majority of instruction is on the computer. These projects are high engagement and create community in the classroom.
