All students deserve a fair shot to make it to college. Every year on May 1st, students across the United States share their respective college-bound journey with their peers and families. This is a tradition RUHS would love to participate in, to encourage college and post-secondary options to our students and community.
During Decision Day festivities, items are raffled off to students who have a path defined and are ready to begin that journey.
Because we are in a low-income community, with a high population of First-Generation College students, most participants do not have the resources to begin that path on a high note. These donations, if granted, will help students and their parents prepare for the next chapter of life.
