There is nothing more heart-warming and exciting than hearing high school students reflect nostalgically on the books that inspired and influenced their younger years. With this collection of astonishing, beautiful, award-winning Children's Picture books, our students can experience the wonder, joy, and creative imagination embedded in the reading experience. Interacting with the works of these artists will provide opportunities to apply the language and tools of visual literacy and appreciation and an anchor for student original work.
Not only will our students create their own artistic expressions influenced by these texts, they will have the opportunity to share the books and their creations with students throughout our community, building new memories of fantastic books and another generation of artists.
