Elementary students participating in this project will receive books based on their reading likes, genres and home demographics for home libraries to support family reading and increased reading fluency. Children love having books of their own! Books selected just for them, at their level, with characters they can identify with. Books to read, hold, share and snuggle up with! Forever books for their home library! Under the supervision of the teacher librarian, elementary students will be paired with high school students who will survey them to identify "just right" books. Books with be packaged in a "to go" box, complete with bookmarks and reading tips for families.
