These materials will give the students hands-on experience in hardware/software installation and application. Each session will revolve around a different part of the PC (and/or peripheral), its purpose, and its application(s) in regards to data storage/transfer, video/audio capture, encoding/rendering, streaming, and gaming. The students will be taught how to install all hardware and software, and will do so themselves.
Our goal is to give the students an entrepreneurial advantage early on in their educational careers. The video/audio group will create and edit a vlog about our lessons and projects, assisted by the digital art & photography group. The streaming group will equip their workstation with a camera and microphone (and required streaming software), and will assist the vlog crew in uploading/streaming their videos. Groups will accomplish these feats using the PC workstation(s) that they build. Although tasked with different responsibilities, we will work as a group to produce a stream/vlog presented in the medium of Hawaiian language.
