My 4th grade science class is very interactive and we try to stay ahead of the curve with integrating technology and learning. We have recently added videos, and hyper-docs to our online learning forum. However, my students are unable to listen and learn as individuals since we do not have any headphones. This creates a chaotic learning environment.
The use of headphones and chrome books gives our students the edge in becoming tech savvy. But for each student to be able to contribute, they need headphones with microphones to listen and interact with what is happening in the online classrooms. I utilize multiple learning platforms that enable students to give feedback via video recordings or have group discussions to further engage one another. This platform has proven to keep kids engaged and really open up their minds to questions that might never have been asked without this electronic method.
Please consider helping out my inner city fourth graders who should have the same advantages as any other student across the country. These families and students i work with have come from the Dominican and Puerto Rico to give their families a chance. You can be apart of that educational chance by helping to provide tools that add a valuable skill to their toolbox.
