By providing the students with tote bags to bring leveled reading books back-and-forth from home-to-school, the students will be able to share their excitement for reading with their families. An activity that many do not always get to partake in, due to a lack of resources at home. The gift of a simple tote bag will allow the students increased opportunities for reading at home, empowering and helping to build their confidence as emergent readers. The book tote will offer a means of taking care of books from school, to share able to demonstrate success, given materials at their level.
