The laptops that I am requesting will allow my students to utilize the many technological resources that are available to them; one being the district-mandated computer-intervention program, iReady. iReady is a computer program used to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the subjects of Reading and Math; an individualized plan is then created for that student to build on what they know and bridge the academic gap.
These technological advances will be beneficial to my students hands-on and individualized learning experiences. My students can experience virtual labs, mathematic competitions with other students across the nation, and enhance their multiplication facts.
The printer also benefits all students as resources can be readily available to the teacher and students instead of waiting for a printing request form to be filled out. Many times as a teacher we plan for certain things in a lesson but then realize that another resource might be more effective; this is why it is also imperative to have a printer in the classroom.
