Each year I am grateful to have a new group of students that are excited to learn and grow. This year, my students are excited to learn more about science. With our state implementing a new science curriculum, I have the unique opportunity to find new opportunities to foster excitement and help them to foster the excitement for science.
The more students explore, the more capable of science a student can be. As a school team, we hope to foster a love of science in our 4th grade classes. I have asked for owl pellets, a STEM kit, mirrors, laser flashlights, prisms, and other various supplies. With these science supplies, I can jump into the next standards with confidence that my students will have opportunities to explore the standards by hands-on activities. The focus of the new standards is to allow them to experience science and they would be able to by refracting light, building solar energy kits, and exploring the food chain with owl pellets. These supplies will help me to be the best teacher I can so they can truly immerse themselves in the science that is in the world around them.
With these supplies and the support of your donation, I know I can help these students to find the potential within them to be the best 4th grade scientists they can be.
