I have taken over a newly formed preschool classroom, which opened with limit art supplies. The paints we do have were purchased at a garage sale. We have no easel. By offering children a vertical surface for art, they are building motor skills, hand eye coordination and the work is at their eye level. In our current times, our children are bombarded (and very proficient) with technology. These children have fewer opportunities to make messes and create masterpieces than previous generations. The goal is to give the children the opportunity to make something they can be proud of. Help them discover their inner artist! You may be helping mold the next Picasso!
