Students use learning materials during their center and rotation time. Items will be easy to reach for all 1st grade students, and items area labeled with their groups name.
Organization is key to arranging any classroom for 1st grade students. Learning to access materials and where to return them is a procedure taught to all students. This helps the classroom flow with ease during a center or rotation time. Students are expected to organize and keep their materials stored in the appropriate areas.
Students use wobble chairs to sit at their work stations and work on projects and to read and write. They also use centers to create and to share with the class their finished work.
