These books will add tremendously to the offerings of our school library which is currently lacking in high-interest science-related titles. Our school is filled with students that want to learn about the world and just need opportunities to do so. As the main source of reading material for many of our students, the school library is perfectly positioned to support their learning needs and goals. The chosen books will pique students' interests while also teaching them about the natural world outside of their local community and the scientists that have chosen to study it. These titles will support students' literacy development, expand their horizons, and may one day lead them to choose science as a career.

About my class
