My students need new opportunities to read books that they might not pick prior to now. They need exposure to open their eyes to this wonderful, yet ever changing world we live in. Students often look at the covers of books and turn them away because they are not the newest or something exciting. My students need to be able to find a book that makes them think and see things differently because of the new storyline that they've been opened up to! I would like to have my students read and discuss these culture rich books, that can help us create a new understanding of opportunities that we didn't think about before. These books will do just that!

About my class
