This is my first year of teaching and building my classroom library will be a tough task to tackle! I have had great mentors with rich, deep classroom libraries and have seen their impact on the students.
Increasing my students access to books and nurturing their love of reading is one of the most important things I can do as a kindergarten teacher, and is the goal I am most dedicated to! I look forward to the excitement of my students opening up books that interest them and developing their love of books. I also look forward to pulling books from my library for read alouds, using them as mentor texts, and seeing the joy students experience from listening and reading.
