These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they will help engage my students in individual projects! Fabric is a necessary component to completing projects in this required course, and many students are unable to afford these simple supplies.
This fabric will be given to students in need in order to give them materials necessary to complete the required sewing projects of either a drawstring bag, pillowcase, or pajama shorts.
When students can express their learning with a personalized, hands-on project, they are more engaged and learning becomes more memorable. Many students enjoy creating their own pillowcase or drawstring bag that they can use in the future, motivating them to create the best piece of work they can. Not only are my students learning how to operate the sewing machine, they are learning problem solving, document literacy, measuring, spatial awareness, among other skills. Your donation will fund fabric to provide underprivileged students with materials needed to complete the assignment.
