Success in literacy means having access to books at all times. Often times a parent's first experience with a deaf person is when they have a deaf child. As a result, their learning of American Sign Language happens together. As the family's use and knowledge of American Sign Language increases, communication between a deaf child and their families grow.
Help us spread the love of literacy to our students!
Having access to these books will give our students the opportunity to experience and learn the classics in American Sign Language any time they wish. Once they learn these stories, they can bring the language and literacy home to their family. The students are able to share these books with their parents and other members of their family.
