My students need books on their reading level that speak on kindness, empathy and inclusion. My 4th, 5th and 6th grade students are below grade level in reading and want to engage in rich, meaningful conversations about a text while also feeling comfortable with the level of difficulty in the text. The books will be used to teach comprehension and speak about current events. The books speak about topics such as being touched, inclusion of new members of a community and finding a place to call home. Please help support my students discover new texts that help them grow academically and socially in my classroom.
