Intermediate age can be very fun, exciting, and overwhelming at times. Some of the students I work with find reading, math, and writing to be difficult. Also, seating in traditional desks for long periods of time has been challenging for some of our students. Flexible seating will allow students to engage in educational tasks while being comfortable in the classroom. I believe flexible sitting will motivate, support, and encourage our students to engage in social-emotional learning. The other items on my list will help deescalate my students when they become overstimulated. I hope to continue to support our students by providing a safe, comfortable, and positive learning environment.
