Movers, creators, designers and innovators are just a few words to describe my middle school students. My students are involved in a student-centered program that involves a dynamic classroom approach. Students acquire a deeper knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems.
In my room, students can forget their worries and focus on what changes they can make in our society/world, to make life better for themselves and others. They are challenged to think "outside the box", be creative and more importantly be unique!!
A student attending the structured learning classroom needs intensive supports and predictable, consistent routines and structure throughout the school day to engage in learning activities in the following areas: communication, social skills, academic tasks, and behavior management. My students know that in our classroom, they will be allowed to reach for the stars.
