My little learners struggle daily with big emotions and how to handle them. As a special education teacher, many of my students have social emotional goals including learning how to express themselves and their emotions. By providing them with a safe place to express their emotions, my students will learn how to cope with these feelings in a safe way and be able to return to learning with their peers. A privacy cube would give them a safe place to retreat to when they feel overwhelmed, scared, or sad and a specific place in the classroom for these skills to be taught.
