Our students have unique special needs, which at our small school we are equipped to provide the best support. Students will greatly benefit from having a school garden to address their sensory needs and having an outdoor space to learn.
By building a sensory garden, students will be learning hands on as the garden gives back to the students while they learn and grow! We are in need of a planter box garden bed, hand tools, -the basics to get our school garden growing, and students will be involved in each step of the growth process. We are also requesting Root-Vue Farms to teach students about how plants grow in a way that they can easily understand.
It is evident that being outside and among nature helps students in many ways. We are excited and appreciative for this opportunity, to build our school's first garden!
