I wholeheartedly believe that my students want to connect with their peers. Many of my students are learning to play appropriately. Providing them with structured play opportunities, such as board games, gives them the chance to engage in social interactions with their peers. They can work on various social skills (taking turns, waiting, following the rules, talking to peers, sharing ideas, asking questions) while playing fun games.
My students will get the opportunity to have a meaningful relationship with their peers.
Some students need visual support. Some students need an adult to set clear expectations. Some students simply need to be exposed to organized activities. My students want to be included, to be part of the school, and this will be one of their first steps.
