Students at our school love all their "local" sports teams; Seahawks, Mariners and the Sonics. We also live in a great place for outdoor activity. Many of the kids in our population can't afford to go to a professional or college game, but they want to read about their favorite athletes. Their interest in sports is a chance to deepen their love for reading; a critical skill in their future success.

About my class
