Make a donation Ms. Woods can use on her next classroom project.
Your donation will supply reading tools, math manipulatives, and literary centers for my kind kindergarteners. Since this class was put together after school had already started. We are without a lot of materials. My kinder class is full of new readers. Some students are still learning his/her letters, while others are learning alpha sounds and sight words. Your donation helps my class with reading materials and tools to help advance their little brains and prepare them for a life full of reading. Phonic sounds and letter recognition is very important for this age and with the materials being donated my students will be able to learn these very important tools. The goal is to have basic readers, with complete sight word recognition.
The math items I have requested will help with number recognition and basic math skills within our classroom. Having various manipulatives to use during math lessons, will allow more hands-on learning. The goal is to help students understand basic math skills such as addition and subtraction. I also want the students to have the ability to write, recognize, and show numbers 1-500.
Helping students at this age become readers and having basic math skills is the beginning, and I am happy to help my students along their journey.
