Students need to be active and engaged in the learning process. An effective method is allowing students to work together to collaborate and share ideas as they develop problem-solving skills. Also, it will give them the chance to show an interest in a career in S.T.E.A.M. that otherwise they may have not known about. Careers include; Architect, Informational Technology, Engineering, and Medical Scientist. Sometimes, textbooks are not enough. These materials will allow students to move outside of the books and give them the opportunity to work hands-on with concepts that they are learning in science. Students will be able to build, design, and make observations based on the topics that are discussed throughout the year. Many students learn best when they are actually involved with learning. Students will be held more accountable for the knowledge that they gain by becoming active participants. Students will be able to build, design, and make observations based on the topics that are discussed throughout the year. This will give them the chance to work as a team, build social skills, and communicate their thoughts with one another.
