My students use the Read 180 Intervention Program as a way to improve their reading skills. The program utilizes small group instruction, independent reading, and a computer component to instruct students. The computer component requires the students to wear headphones to hear words and passages read to them. Additionally, the students are required to read the passages and record words using a microphone. These headphones will be used every day between the 3rd-6th grade intervention classes. It is important to have working headphones so the students can focus on learning. The program is not an effective tool for students without the proper supplies.
