Students will then decide which book they want to read most. From there they will be split into groups ad given their very own book for the first time in their lives. This is meant to motivate students and let them know someone wants to give them the opportunity to learn something knew.
Students will discuss difficult themes we normally don't talk about in school such as bullying, racism, assisted suicide, and the death penalty. This is meant to motivate and engage students within their learning. At the same time students will discuss author's craft and style while journeying on their own self discovery of these items.
