These calculators will greatly aid the many math and science explorations that my students will engage in throughout the year. Our school is classified as a low-income school where students often do not have access to the supplies that are crucial for learning science.
As a geology teacher, my students grapple with the processes of the natural world around them. With limited supplies, they struggle to understand the scale at which these processes occur. There are many formulas and calculations that assist in developing a perspective on the Earth's various systems.
I also teach Physical Science which has a large emphasis on Newtonian physics and the manipulation of equations. Without calculators, we struggle to work through more complex problems.
