My students were made to move. Movement provides clarity and focus for most children, and I would like to provide my students with more choices in my classroom to promote healthy movement. While working students like to walk, stand, spin, and rock.
Providing seating options that help students create movement safely will enhance their focus and attention to the task at hand. Considering the diverse needs of my students, students learn more effectively and when provided safe ways to expend energy.
Having different seating options will allow for my learners to navigate their work more easily, because they won't have to stay still in a chair. Providing more ways to move will enhance student performance as well as enhance self-regulation.
