Many of our amazingly talented students have not had an opportunity to be on a plane or to travel outside of our state. Every four years we organize a trip to New York City for the Select Choir and the HS Orchestra. This is once in a lifetime opportunity for our students to experience a high quality competition experience and a performance at St. Johns Cathedral as well as seeing a Broadway Show, the Empire State Building and the 9/11 Museum, as well as taking in the sights in Times Square and attending a Dinner Cruise on the Hudson to see the Statue of Liberty at night.
The memories they will make in New York will change these students' lives, but not all the students are able to afford the trip. Our community is very small and while the community members and businesses are very supportive of the arts at the high school, they are constantly being asked for financial support for sports, class activities, field trips, Prom, etc.. This is why we are branching out to get support from you.
