I picked out fun history games and whiteboards will help tremendously with students social-emotional needs as they will be able to interact with each other and build relationships all while learning content. Many of these students have not been able to build social skills as they have been at home learning and have been wearing masks when they are in person.
These games and whiteboard materials will be able to allow them to get out of their comfort zone and interact more with each other. It is vital to the health of my students that they are able to interact in many different ways. These items will allow them to interact in a more exciting way.
The headphones will be used during class to help with interactive lessons with nearpod, and other programs and videos to help students engage in their learning. Oftentimes I want them to do a webquest that involves short news clips or videos and if they are going at their own pace, they need headphones so they do not disrupt their peers.
