Our classroom motto is, "Be Kind, Change the World." Our world is increasingly becoming more difficult to be kind in, especially at a young age. I want my students to succeed not only in academics, but also in being good people, because our world needs that! I honestly believe that I can help them in both areas (academics and being a good member of society) if given the chance to read Wonder with them. I know that they will learn skills to help them in their reading, like point of view, theme, setting, problem, conflict, antagonist, protagonist, and many more. I also know that they can learn life skills, like how to be more kind, how to be a friend, and how our differences make us who we are. I can help them see that we are all different, but that's definitely okay.
