Throughout the day students get to explore in many different ways, through videos, worksheets, peer conversations and even fun centers. This project will give my students, student based learning during center time. These items work with CVC words, math, sight words, STEM and other fun creative 1st grade topics.
It's always more fun in first grade when you get to build and learn hands on during centers. This also helps the students create meaningful memories that are then transferable to other academic areas.
My students love to feel like they are having fun and learning at the same time. These games will give me the reassurance that the students will be able to complete this work on their own. Each of these games can be played more than once and used all year long, so they will be out for constant practice throughout the school year! These items will be going into a collaboration center for all five of the first grade classrooms to utilize throughout the year, and for years to come.
