How much fun would elementary students have in Science if they could take virtual field trips to explore various ecosystems while at school? How much more exciting would the study of Weather and Climate be if students could collect data in their own city, and submit their findings to NASA for research? What if they could create slow motion videos to get a better understanding of how Issac Newton described the way objects moved. These are just a few projects that I would like to bring to my students this year, but we need additional technology to make it happen.
The young minds in my classroom are eager, imaginative, and ready to experience science through technology. The Amazon Fire Tablets that are donated to our classroom will allow students explore Physical, Life, and Environmental Sciences through research, data collection, and creating various presentations of our learning experience. Please help my class take science out of outdated, uninspiring textbooks, and into a place with meaningful learning opportunities.
