The use of technology in my classroom will spark interest in my students when it comes to reading, especially with the new technology and the programs that are out there. It can become difficult when students do not have laptops or computers at home so they are unable to keep up with the ever-changing world of technology. Many of my students are not English speakers so it is difficult for them to be able to read on their own. With ​Chromebooks, they can plug in and start using programs that will help with this language barrier and allow them to use the computer during their in-class free time.
In addition, my English language learning students are given the same instruction as the other students but at their level and many lessons require diagrams and pictures that I can print and have the students paste in their notebooks which is where the printer would be a wonderful addition to my classroom.
