Students in a low-income area do not have access or the ability to purchase the needed materials required for learning new skills in the classroom. While dictionaries were on the student supply list, many of our students were only able to bring in pencils and paper.
By donating to our project, you are providing an opportunity for students to develop new skills and meet essential skills to pass the STAAR exam at the end of the year. The highest priority for me, as their teacher, is to provide items that may be more accessible in other schools to a group of students who are unable to provide for themselves.
Our students have a great desire to learn. I want to provide an opportunity for them to achieve.
