Studies show that students learn more when collaborating with others. Having a place to show their work and discuss it will allow for more engagement during class. It further allows for more eyes to find errors and fix them so that students can find and correct mistakes both in their own work and in the work of others.
Having a wall of white boards will allow more students to work, think critically, and collaborate on problems in math class at one time.
Another study shows that working on a vertical surface encourages more collaboration between and deeper thinking from students.
