My students are using tablets daily to enhance their learning and familiarize themselves for state testing purposes. Every morning we come in the first thing students grab is their tablets and headphones (or what we call headphones). They are to go onto their reading or math assignment and start by listening to the video and right away I have students saying they can't hear out of one ear or they are missing the ear cover. Meanwhile, other students have their computers on low volume because they don't have headphones.
Taped up headphones just aren't going to cut it! Each student should have access and the ability to listen to their assignment. Once they are done listening there are times they have to create a poster and they pressing out all the ink that is left in dried up years old markers. I would love to see group work colorfully and boldly presented and ready to hang up and show off!
