Some of our students' with behavior issues are misunderstood as "bad kids" however, we know it is a cry for help. The Kinetic sand, Lego set and Sequins drawing pad will help our students deescalate and bring themselves into a state of learning. The pillow set will help transform our office to a comfy space that feels safe for our students to open up and talk about what it going on for them.
When our students are calm, the Positive Behavior Support team has a chance to debrief and discuss solutions to problem solving with our students. We found that our students are able to engage more when they are feeling less vulnerable and more relaxed in the counseling office.
