Developing PreK student's social-emotional skills are the most important thing we teach in my classroom. By meeting children’s social-emotional needs and by guiding them to strive for academic excellence, we set them up for success in the future.
My students are ages 3-5, so most have little memory of life before the pandemic. Some have very limited exposure to people and life outside of their homes. The books that I have requested as part of this project will be used to build students' confidence in themselves, and compassion for others.
