In 6th grade we cover life science. Living organisms are a huge component of life science. Dissecting different organisms is one way to engage scientists in hands on investigations. Many of my students have not actually had a science class that included real life application.
My students would love to dissect worms this year. These kits will give them everything they need to work in groups of two. They will be able to see the parts of a worm after they complete an in-depth unit on worms. They will see different body parts and experience what real scientists do in labs.
